Each evening, I sit down to blog, and I just can't. It's like any creative juices that I ever possessed, have been drained from my body.

But, here goes....

Today, I got my hair done. Cut and color. I LOVE it. Can you believe that? I actually LOVE it! That NEVER happens. My color looks so pretty, it's like it isn't even my hair. It has shades of light blonde, honey, and a very dark blonde all in it. Someone, please drag me away from the mirror. I've just been staring into it, flipping my hair around saying, "Look at that! Can you believe that's my hair?" I was so excited that I called my best friend Janelle, and as soon as she answered the phone she said," Well, your hair must look great, because you're not crying." She knows me so well.

While I spent hours at the salon, having a good 25+ feet of aluminum foil sheets stacked onto my head, my sister was kind enough to take the kids to a movie, and then back to her place for Savannah's art lesson. When I picked them up Thom was busily getting ready for her date tonight. I was a good sister and critiqued the outfits that she tried on for me. I commented with the usual, "that looks good", "yeah, I like that", "Ummm, NO(rolling eyes)", and "YES! THAT! WEAR THAT! That looks good!" She reciprocated by gushing over my new do.

When the kids and I got home, we only had about 30 minutes before we needed to head back out the door to Austin's baseball game. After the game we came straight home. 9:30.

We are missing Race like crazy. I mean it, it is making me crazy. I want to see him so badly.

Have a great night!
Melissa

Please post pictures!!! If a woman can say she's happy with her own hair, it must look incredible!!! We really enjoyed our visit. There were so many questions that I wanted to ask you, but one meal is just not enough. Maybe we'll get to see you again before Austin's kids are walking. We're really praying Race gets home soon. You are just amazing!

I just got mine cut and colored as well! It took me a day or 2 but I like it.

Being a sister sounds really special - especially with how great both you and Thom are!

Hugs,
Jess

That is awesome about your hair appointment! Cannot say I have ever had that experience.

We are all looking sooo forward to the beach this year! Q can't stop talking about all of the cool stuff he and Jack will do. Plus Race AND the Everett will both be there too! How awesome! And as busy as we all are, it will be here before we know it! Hang in there :)

Ok, five things you learned today. Go.

Ten things you would rather do than sit through a meal with Nancy Pelosi. Go.

What you would give to watch Pelosi and Clinton (la or el) get into a pissing match over some doctrinal detail. Go.

A picture of your cool new hairdo! Duh!

See? There's a lot you could blog.

;-)

Thinking of you and keeping y'all in our prayers.

I keep stopping by and still no Melissa. On the last blog you had just gotten your hair done, hopefully we will hear from you before you have to get it done again. I heard you have been extremely busy, I miss you, but I hope this means you have been busy with Race home also.
