We made a very last minute decision to leave for our beach trip a day early and hit the zoo on our way. We had a wonderful time, and got some great photos. I am sometimes surprised all over again how much fun my 2 older kids are to be around. Savannah was in particularly hillarious form yesterday. They are a riot, and did such a great job with Jack. They didn't squash his joy and amazement and just made things more fun for him. That's good stuff.
Today, we are headed to the beach for a week. This is always such an awesome thing for us. We look forward to it each year. The whole family will be there this year, including our newest lil' nephew E! We can all hardly wait to get there. Austin has already mentioned that he just can't wait for Pap-paw to make his "traditional" Seafood bisque. Dad makes it in the biggest pot you have ever seen, (Picture the military-style cauldron). He uses real cream and fresh seafood....and....well..it is amazing. It's like a huge kick-off for a week of sun, sand, ocean, incredible food, and adult beverages! WOO_HOO!!!
This year Jack is taking the Zoology 2 course from Apologia, so visiting the ocean will be double the fun!
