I started this blog to keep the husband/father of this happy home up to speed with what goes on here while he is off making the world a safer place. We will refer to him as "Race" (You know..Race Bannon... from Johnny Quest?).
We are Christian in our religion, and conservative, in our politics.
We home school our guinea pigs,-er- I mean , our kids. Our life is not "the norm", but, with Divine Grace, we're makin' it work, and usually having a good time in the process!

I figured that I would follow suit and post pictures of our acorn-larvae-gathering experiment. I couldn't believe the sheer number of acorns with worms in them! Who knew? It's in there! I swear it is!

Love the picture of Jack - that's so sweet. And yeah, we can see the little guy. Thanks. I was just recovering from our experiments. (Aren't the sheer numbers just mind boggling? First the ticks, then the worms and those ground-boring crickets... and now wormy nuts. I may never sit down in the woods again.)
