Are y'all getting tired of these yet??Tonight, for your viewing pleasure, I give you some of our camel riding pictures. We were on our way down to the Dead Sea. It was just before this outing, that Savannah looked out the window, and pointed to a boy riding a burro out in these mountains. Jack said, "Hey....look at that! A boy......riding a wild ass!" (Long pregnant pause as the words "wild ass" just sort of hung in air of the car.) Sensing that there is just SOMETHING about that word...he uses it often now. We have to pass several fields every day, and each time he will say something like," Hey, I think I saw an ass", or "There were a couple of asses out there". Yesterday, able to stand it no more, Savannah sighed and uttered quietly, "Jack couldn't you just say"donkey"? Which of course brought on an onslaught of repeating the word. "What's wrong with "ass'? It just means a donkey....you can say "ass"...what's wrong with "ass"? (sigh) But now when things get quiet between Race and I, inevitably one of us will say, "Look! A boy on a wild ass!"

Blake does that, he will find a word that can be used 2 ways and will say it over and over just to get a reaction. When he was 3 he was the ring bearer in my nephew's wedding. During the wedding we heard him say what we thought was shit. Everyone looked at him and in the middle of the service he says" Ship, I said ship." Right.
Love the pictures, glad to hear that Race is home and safe.
ROFL Jack sounds a LOT like my middle son, CJ. Because of this I laughed out loud - especially because this time, it wasn't my kid. haha ;-)
hee hee That is a phrase which will go down in your family vocabulary and bring you laughter for YEARS.
I want camel narration. What was it like? What did the kids think? Could you also rent asses?

Okay, that post put me on a roll with the whole "ass as donkey" theme:
"Quit riding my ass"= when someone uninvited is riding your donkey
"What a lazy ass" = when your donkey is just lying around
"My ass is tired" = when your donkey is sleeping
"Move your ass" = when someone's donkey is in your way
OMGosh,I could go on and on. I just need to stay away from Jack for a few days, until I get this out of my system. The temptaion would just be TOO great to hear say some of these things,ROFL!!!!
If you can rent asses I want a small one please! rofl
ROFL Thom - you're a good aunt to stay away, or maybe more like a good sister? lol
