Reminding you all of my shallow inner self, I have one thing and one thing only to share with you tonight:
Super Bowl night, Savannah and Austin both had different parties to go to. Austin's was with the college/ highschool kids from our church. I walk in to the party, and there are only college kids there so far. I say "hey" to everyone, and speak to the hostess a moment, and then tell Austin what time I'll be back. Then we headed to Savannah's party.
*Jump forward to today.*
Me: Oh my gosh, y'all does my hair look totally stupid pulled back like this? Am I going to embarrass myself at the grocery store? (Yes, this is a true conversation)
Jack: Let me see.....Nope, looks good Mom! And I'm not just saying that.(good boy)
Austin(not even looking): No, it looks good. And besides, that's how you had it the other night when you dropped me off at the party, and they all thought that you were my sister.
Me: WOOOOOOO-HOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Both boys: (blank stare)
YYYYESSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!! (high- vives, high-fives, high fives to you all)
It's the little things that keep me going........
(deep satisfied sigh)
g'night!
Austin's sister
p.s. IT'S SNOWING!!

Don't you love those little moments in time when you can sit back and say "Hey, I really don't look as old as other people my age". Bask in the moment, girl, bask in the moment.
That is awesome!! But you've always looked young. I remember when you first had Austin and we would be out and you would always get those "that-poor-little-girl-went-and-got-herself- in-trouble" looks. LOL!! But still at YOUR age, that is a serious compliment!! (you know i couldn't resist that!!).
p.s. thanks for all the hair help today!!
Lucky DOG!!! You've always looked younger than your actual age. I look my OWN age on a GOOD day. On the rare occasion that I get carded,I just want to jump across the counter and kiss the store clerk!! I always do thank them--for real!!
ROFL to Em's story!!
BTW, I'm keeping my eye out for the brunette post.
Wow. That will never happen to me. Ever. I'm so happy for you! *sniff* But I don't know which is funnier, the boys' blank stares, or that we all *get it*. LOL.

WooooooHooooooooo you GO girl!!! Oh and to add to Thoms comment, the other day I was buying some beer for the Superbowl party at Walmart. The young woman carded me and I was excited (I think that's the first time - EVER). I thanked her and she said "Oh, we have to do it for everyone now, even if you look 70". LOL Gee, thanks glowing & perky college girl, thanks a LOT. *sigh*
Melissa you look like a Movie Star. I really like your hair. You are one of those girls that can probably wear your hair any color you want. I really like the bangs too.
