Well, my sister has started blogging again. As you may have guessed, her attentions have been elsewhere. As in....she has ....a guy. So, hopefully she's back. She's a much better writer than I am. Hey maybe her boyfriend can do a guest blog!!! Hey "G" if you're readin' this, you can always be a guest blogger here, man!
To myother sister Em: Hell yes, I'm up to the challenge!!! I will find you THE BEST haircut/color combo EVER. WOO-HOO!! Now, you just relax, and wipe away all those years of curling iron burns and winged hair that I gave you when we were growing up. I TOTALLY know what I'm doing. It's alllllll....Gooooodddd.
To Melora and Dy:
About the Chicken mummy. Yes, Yes, do the cornish hen. That's what we did the first time around, thanks to TWTM boards. It was MUCH easier and I think a bit faster. If you follow the directions in the book, it will work out beautifully and your kidlits will be happily wrapping their preserved, mummified chicken for elaborate burial in no time. It's beautiful. (O.K., not really. It's not beautiful at all, but the kids LOVE this and it really DOES cement ancient Egypt deeply into thier minds forever).
I really will post pictures.
O.K., CONTEST on Monday people. Get out your thinking caps cause I've got a mystery photo for you. You're gonna love this. I think it'll be hard, but I maybe wrong y'all might get it right off. I'm so curious! (excited squeal!!!) I can't wait!!!!Monday!
G'night!
Melissa

You're a MUCH better writer than I am!! But, thanks for the props! ;0)
Elway (aka G-dubs, G-money, Glenwood, Broke A** Cracker, etc.) says he'd be pleased to be your guest writer next time he's in town.
I can't wait for the contest!! I'll TRY to keep my mouth shut until it's over, but it's gonna be HARD!!!!!
I am very excited for the contest- it has been ages since I have won anything, but I am game for trying!
As for the whole chicken mummy thing, I guess I am a member of the no-fun-mom's club, because my kids are teens and we never did this! To be honest, I do not think they would have enjoyed it- just reading about how the Egyptians pulled the brain parts out through the nostrils made them want to puke.
By the way- if Savannah ever wants feedback on any of her painting, or wants to talk about painting, just let me know. I am very curious to see what she is doing/has done. I am not an expert by any means, I am learning too, but if she wants input, or wants to give me any on any of my stuff, have her feel free.
Only one person actually commented on the abstract acrylic I am working on- not sure if that is good or bad, but not worrying about it.
See you Monday!

Oh, and Thom- you are a great writer in your own right, and your photos are delicious! Glad you'll be blogging again.
LB, who has been a lurker at your blog for quite a while.
Mystery phot?
Hold me, I feel askeered. :-)
Dude! Katie Holmes has nothing on you! I love the new do.
Thanks for the hair help! I have been gazing at Reese Witherspoon pictures lately, I've been told she looks like me, the lucky girl. I don't see it but she always has cute hair. IMDB her and tell me what you think. As for the color I am still clueless!!
I will be in town the weekend of the 23rd can you get me in with your hair girl??
Am I eligible for the contest??? You know how I love to compete and WIN. If not, can I play by email and not be eligible for the prize?
Ok, it is nine am on Monday, and no contest yet?! I am like the lady in that Ross commercial, saying, "Open, open, open", though I am saying, "Post, Post, Post!".

High winds have knocked out the power to bunch of homes in my area--including Melissa's!!! She asked me to let everyone know that the contest will be ON as soon as her electricity is restored!! Thanks for your patience!!
