Thanks for all of the comments! Cribchick- you have no idea how many times I retyped that sentence so that it would NOT have that connotation! (snort) Too funny!
Anniesue, consider yourself added to the list. I will get mom your address. And I guess that I will have to track Dy down mid-move to get their new Forever Home address.
Grandmama, you can SOooooo expect a phone call today!
Things are good here. Really good. It is a great thing to know that you can pick right up where you left off. We have been concentrating on living each day to it's fullest, and not letting all of the pesky little inconveniences, that invariably come along, sidetrack us. That is good medicine. School is getting done, but it is a bit more laid back than normal, with time to wander off on a subject , all together. Of course history always pulls us down it's long rabbit trails, but this week so does science with it's simple machines. Race has filled in all the gaps where I would have been stretched too thin. Savannah was trying out some new computer skills, and was having some trouble with her writing, at the same time that Austin got stuck on a Algebra problem, at the same time that Jack and I were doing a reading lesson. That is a normal day. But to have Race there to figure out the Algebra, and then to help with Savannah's technical problem, was just such an incredible relief!
My only problem is that I now have to fight Race for computer time!!!! LOL! Ya can't have everything , right??
Well, the monsoon rains have lifted here, and it is an absolutely gorgeous day. We are going to put lessons off till later, and we are headed out for a walk. All of us. Good stuff y'all, good stuff!

I didn't comment on the "festivities" because I didn't want to look adolescent. Glad Cribchick broke the ice for me. Heehee! That must be an LU word because Greg occasionally uses that word for...well...what Cribchick implied! So...of course, when you said "festivities" I immediately thought...well, you know! I can see you now, typing, backspacing, retyping, grinning... You could have typed random letters of the alphabet and we'd probably still all have had the same thoughts, because, well, see...we all know when daddy's been gone awhile...
Yes, today is a beautiful day and a pleasant change to the 3 days of much-needed rain. Enjoy God's big sunshine outside and all 4 of your happy sunshines inside.
Gotta get to those lessons with Will. He was sick yesterday with a stomach virus (ugh) and we took off. Today we've got to get back to it. I'm already behind--"office duties" (aka--one of my too many irons in the fire) reared its ugly head this morning first thing.
Have a great day!
Lynette
Glad things are going so well around there; but then, I didn't think it would be otherwise.
The gorgeous day covers us too, so I'm going out now to plant the bulbs that arrived from Van Engelen yesterday. Hope it isn't too wet, as we had some of the monsoon rains last night.
Consider Anniesue added to the list as soon as I get the address.
Love, Mom
P.S. Getting started on the basement!! Yea!!!
It is SO nice to have someone there to pick up the slack isn't it? And yeah, I don't like sharing the puter either. Maybe a laptops in order for Christmas? LOL
It's so sweet how you keep saying "all" and "together". I don't know if it was subconcious or not but I love that you are able to say those words...
HUGS,
Jess (who missed Dys call today unfortunately, I wonder how she's doing!)
That is wonderful, Melissa!
I remember when Kevin came home from Alabama and all of our "festivities." Bwhahaha!!
The reunion after a long absence is so sweet.
Glad to hear you guys have fallen back into the swing of things!
Well, enjoy the (ahem) festivities.
....BWAHAHAHAHAHA!
Oh, family life at the Williams's surely sounds like fun! I think it's great that Race is such an organizer, It makes it much easier to do things. I remember when we tent camped and used boxes out of the trunk. I have a picture of his dad hanging onto a tree and going down the road to the camp. He had to climb up a small mountain to get that perfect tree! Another time in Boone,N.C. we had a terrible storm and we had to get drop cloths and tie across the tent. He was also happy that I "disobeyed" him and brought the electric skillet because their wasn't a dry piece of wood anywhere!
Keep making those family memories!
Love Grandmama
