I created this post last night, and published it to the blog, but for some reason, it went down to the Nov 30th date! Oh well, I brought it back up here where it is supposed to be:
We got new tires, got Race in for a check-up and blood work with the N.D, grabbed a bite to eat out for lunch, and cleared away some of the pesky paper work and mail that piles up for Race while he is gone. He took the boys out for Martial Arts this evening, while Savannah and I made supper with pecan pie for dessert. Jack and Austin are on K.P duty tonight. So, here I sit in front of the computer, while the rest of the fam is eating warm pecan pie and watching............."Leave it to Beaver". Yep, that's right. We love that show. Let's face it, we've all had an Eddie Hascall in our past. And as I watch June Cleaver in her crisp dress and pearls, vaccuming the crown molding.........I say aloud, "I do that". There is silence and everyone stares at me, because they know, without a doubt, that our door facings and crown mouldings have never seen a vaccuume. Oh well......my mama had a housekeeper.
Race has organized all of the camping gear for our family. Each person has a large container with his/her name on it. Everyone has a cool backpack, a down sleeping bag, a sleeping pad, and tents, etc, etc,. He LIVES for this stuff. WE. MUST. HAVE. COOL.GEAR. I never truly appreciate this, until we are camping or hiking.........and.........I am actually warm and dry! Anyway, he enjoys the heck out of doing that stuff! Too funny!
So, tell me. Do your husbands do things that leave you scratching your head and wondering.."huh?"
G'night,Melissa

LOL!! I was reading too fast and i thought you last question was - Where does your husband do his scratching? That's a little too personal for the internet, dahlink!
Anyhoo!!!
He does a lot of those types of things, but in the end I usually see his logic and think, Oh, that *did* make sense.
And FWIW, I vacuum the crown moulding, but I don't do it in pearls. (wink)
Laney, you would vacuum the crown molding and I bet it's in some sort of cute heel too...lol
Melissa, my husband does a lot of things that make me scratch my head. He has a little habit of thinking his way is the only right way though so I think I leave him scratching his head more than the other way around. He always complains I pack too much, etc. But then he's thrilled when one of the kids spills or wets and we have those extras. ;-)
One thing that has me scratching my head all the time is the man takes more time to get ready than I do and he has a military cut!

My mom didn't have a housekeeper, and I still rarely clean those things. I pay Will to wash baseboards. Yup, 10 cents a room. He likes the money and I like clean (ok, semi-clean) baseboards.
And by the way, you still can't spell vacuum! :)
Yeah, Greg makes me scratch my head a lot! Like, why have a cordless phone if you're gonna stand in one place like a statue when you're on the phone? (He is NOT the multi-tasker!) If it weren't for a cordless phone, we'd all starve and go naked. I love talking on the phone while I work. IT PASSES THE TIME.
How about stopping mid-foreplay to straighten a shoe rack? Except I didn't scratch my head, I kinda went on a tirade about how exciting I must be for that to matter along about then. Of course, you know Greg, so that probably doesn't surprise you.
Oh well, that's probably TMI, but thought you and Race would get a kick out of it. It will definitely bring back some Greg memories, huh?
Have a great day!
Lynette
