I started this blog to keep the husband/father of this happy home up to speed with what goes on here while he is off making the world a safer place. We will refer to him as "Race" (You know..Race Bannon... from Johnny Quest?).
We are Christian in our religion, and conservative, in our politics.
We home school our guinea pigs,-er- I mean , our kids. Our life is not "the norm", but, with Divine Grace, we're makin' it work, and usually having a good time in the process!

Jack's snake
I am trying this again.

Way to go Jack. I'm so proud of you. You DO come from a long line of snake catchers you know. Hope you put him some place where he can catch mice. Wish we had him down at the barn!!

I can't believe he just grabbed that thing! And Race was CRACKING me up doing the typical dad thing. Encouraging, promising the snake couldn't reach him (I was hoping it didn't launch out after he said that LOL). You can tell he's a good dad encouraging Jack to go for it despite his fear, gently. I would be screaming RUN FORREST RUN!!!
OK, after all the tentative movement, I honestly didn't expect him to nab the thing by the head. This is a great video. I'm going to have to show the boys when they get home. FTR, there is no way the newly made bluebird box is going up somewhere near the house. No. Freakin. Way. My heart starts malfunctioning just thinking about it.
Well, we showed the boys. And Em. Emily squealed and pointed and talked Jack through the whole process. Smidge was awestruck. John wanted a baseball video. And James cannot believe he managed to get it by the head so quickly. In all, a thoroughly entertaining video! Thanks for sharing it with us!

Yeah! I totally did not expect him to grab it either!! My heart jumped a little. All that Jeff Corwin training has paid off! LOL!! Way to go, Jack!
I have not shown the video to the boys yet. Little Walk may not be ready, for fear he would be hopping on top of anything that slithered! LOL!!
