I'm back on the farm! Had a great time yesterday. When we arrived at Mom and Dads, Em was already here with her boys, so all the kids scurried to get thier swim suits on and headed straight for the pool. I had a great time chatting with Em and Mom while all the kids swam. Q is doing SO WELL in the pool. They only surfaced once to eat, (and Jack and Q caught some baby toads....a few of which were last seen being carried into Em's car in an empty salad container), and other than that, my guys did not come out of the pool until after dark! We ate chinese take out and chatted with Mom and Dad until bed time. Great day.

I am looking forward to hearing from Race. Suffice it to say that he is somewhere....over there......and it's a mess right now. Thanks for asking Anniesue.

We will have the neighbor kids and the cousins over here tomorrow to celebrate (one. last. time.), Jacks 8th birthday. Just a small pool party with ice cream and cake. Then Tuesday we head to the beach house to celebrate my Dad's birthday. Can't wait.

Right now, I will have to go and rescue my mom. Austin has her trapped in the living room talking her TO DEATH about baseball. Her back is giving her trouble, and she is moving slowly, so that makes her easy prey.
Have a great day!
Melissa

We are praying for Race's safety and for your sanity while you wait to hear from him. Enjoy your parents, we are lucky to still have both of ours and give them a hug for me. You are celebrating Jackson's birthday the way we will be celebrating Blake's, over and over and over.....

Wow! Cool Melissa in VA has a blog! How did I miss this?!

Sounds like such a great day. Family is precious. Love the part about celebrating over and over...

And we're definitely kindred spirits regarding vacuuming (I need to vacuum. Hey, where is that thing, anyway...)

LOL! Poor Mom! But it means a lot to Austin that y'all listen so. patiently. Or it will when he's 40 and looking back on it.

Have a wonderfully rejuvenating time at the farm! Praying for Race and you and the kiddos.
