Race is not going to make it home for the boys big Martial Arts demo. After he landed, it took over an hour to get his bag, and 45 minutes for the bus to get him to his car in the parking lot. If you have ever driven on I95 after 3:00 on a Friday..........I don't expect his mood to improve.
The boys are bummed that he won't be able to see them. Race is upset beyond belief that he will not be able to see them. Who's gonna watch 'em? Just Mom and Savannah. Same ole Mom who watches them practice every day. Bummer, because this is a big deal for them.
After the demo, I will be racing to the ballfield, with Austin changing in the car as we go. I honestly don't know what I would do without that suburban. We should make it before practice is over (light one today, since 1st game is tomorrow). I will go to the store and pick up steaks, salad makings, potatoes for baking, and a nice bottle of wine......(Merlot? Shiraz?) When we finally get home, Race should be here.
The patches are all sewn on......straightly.
Dixie Boys All Stars Tournament begins tomorrow. The whole family is coming down to support Austin, and that means a lot to him, and to us. Best of luck to our team.
Y'all have a great weekend! We will be making the best of whatever we get.
Cheers!
Melissa

I'm so sorry! If we lived close still, we'd make the drive to the game and try to make a little noise for him. We'll do it from here. I know it's not Dad, but let Austin know we're rootin' for him.
(Go for one bottle of each!)

We had a blast yesterday, even though the game was called! It is always great to see you guys and watch the boys play with their cousins!
I am anxiously awaiting a blog or phone call about all of the happening in today's game! I hear RACE is due for a HUGE pat on the back!
Good luck to Austin and his team tomorrow! I have no doubt he will play the game of his life! Wish we could be there!
Hey! Hope you have a great weekend with Race! I took your advice and started a blog too. You can check it out, but don't expect much. Still trying to figure it out.
*ahem*
The purpose of a blog (ok, other than to keep in touch with Race and the rest of us) is to... well, to keep in touch with the rest of us!
Grab a cup of coffee, sit yerself down and unwind with, oh, I dunno, a nice BLOG ENTRY!
Six days without a peep. To quote my newly adopted vernacular, "That ain't raight."
;-) Praying for you and wishing you wonderful things!
