Last night the kids and I were all discussing boyfriends and girlfriends. We started with Austin. We all decided that he liked L. She is a smart, sweet, pretty athletic girl who goes to our church. There are only a few girls at the church that are his age. His response?
"Who's L?"
(sigh)
So then it was Savannah's turn. Our shy,overlooked middle-child.
Me: "SO, Savannah....what about you? Who do YOU like?"
Savannah:"Do movie Stars count?"
Me(curious, now): "Sure"
Savannah(with rapid speed):"Orlando Bloom,Johnny Depp,Gerard Butler, and Antonio Banderas".
Me: *blink* blink*
Me again: "What about T? (a boy from church).
Savannah(with great disbelief at my ignorant suggestion): OH MOM! He's really, really nice...but he's SHORTER than me!!!!
I think that the girl will do just fine.
On to Jack.
Me: "What about you, squirt?"
Jack: "I'll let you know after we're married".

And hey, it's not all bad being taller than DH. At least I get a power trip everytime he calls me in to reach something from the high cabinets. Or when I'm really feeling ornery I wear heels to rub my tallness in his face...hehe
