Place 1 cup of wheat germ and 1 cup of dried milk into a large mixing bowl.

Next, add 1 cup of peanut butter.
Then add 1 cup of raw honey, and it should look like this:
Complicated....I know.
Use your strongest kid to stir........it's thick.
Stong kid should be able to get it to look like this:
Refridgerate for ...oh...I dunno .........awhile. Approximately 2 Looney Toons cartoons worth, and then have kid roll into bite sized balls. You can see he had to use his mouth to measure exactly what BITE SIZED was. It is easy to roll and read "Boys Life" if one should so desire. Although I would caution you to stay away from the spider issue that just arrived. (shudder)
And now, some gratuitous baseball pics of the sweet-snack-making kid. Doesn't he look so handsome in his uniform?
Thanks Thom, for the pictures!!!
As always, the wonderful baseball pics were taken by my sister, Thomasina. You can see her amazing photography at Photography By Thomasina
You should go and take a look. Her work is amazing.

The pictures are wonderful! Your snack maker makes a handsome baseball player for sure!
So you'll notice that I have not been commenting on the "feel better" series. Hmmm...I hope that I am able to get motivation from you! I'll let you know!
I love and overuse exclamation points!!!!
We've done this before, without the wheat germ, for edible "clay." If you add food coloring (green) and decorate with things like chocolate chips and pretzel sticks, you can make nice aliens. I think I'll try it your way and see if I can't get K. to eat some. I'm anxious to get some protein into the fussy little thing, but unfortunately she's not keen on peanut butter (or meat, or fruits or vegetables, or cheese....)
LOVE the pictures and that snack sure looks yummy!
What another cook show? But oh what a cute cook.
when will we see him on the cooking chanel?
I can't get over how much Jackson looks like his dad in his uniform. The same cute nose.
wish we could make one of his games.
Love all,
Grandmama
The recipe looks really good, we will have to try that here. Jackson looks so cute in his uniforms, I have some pictures of Blake that I need to get posted. How did Jackson's game go?
Oh, Melissa! He's really growing up, isn't he? He looks so handsome and... where's the goofy puppy going? Mine is starting to lose the goofy puppy look, too, and it just breaks my heart. (Although, really, I'd appreciate a break in the goofy puppy routine, tremendously. Honestly, what makes a boy think it's ever a good idea to stick his hand under his mother's arm and say, "Hey, let's see if we can make armpit farts together!" Ugh.) And then here is yours, cooking with his clean, armpit-free hands and everything, gettin' out there and playin' ball... it goes TOO FAST!!
Ok, the pb balls, we've tried them. Same recipe, and for whatever reason, the boys didn't like them. I even tried rolling them in powdered sugar (b/c truthfully, I thought that any child who will believe that a few sugar sprinkles on top of a bran muffin makes it into a dessert would buy *anything*)... but, no. I was *ahem* forced to eat them all myself. And I really thought they were great.
Thanks for the recipe! I will be trying it out tomorrow, as we actually have all of the ingredients on hand (that never happens!).
Great pics too!! Q loved seeing Jack in his uniform.
