Jack's BACK!!

After working all week with his brother and his dad, the little guy found his bat again. He played and amazing game, tonight. As a parent, it feels so good to see your child work hard, struggle through and then reach their goal. He was like a different kid.

Race had worked tirelessly with Jack all week, and unfortunately was sitting on a plane tonight when his first up at bat was a triple that drove in the first 2 runs of the game. But I was able to reach him on the phone before the plane doors closed and let him know. I could feel him beaming all the way through the phone!

When Jack got back to the dugout, one of the kids said, "Man, where'd you learn to hit the ball like that??" And Jack replied, "My dad's been workin' with me. He taught me." (Deep, satisfied sigh)

Today was a long day, and not one that I was looking forward to because Race was leaving. But it has ended on a happy note. And we'll take that, and see what tomorrow holds. ;-)

G'night!

Wow! Well done, Jack! (And Race, too!) He must be proud, and it is great that he got recognition from his teammates.

I'm sorry he's gone again. Hugs...
