Catching up with family, seeing old friends, laughing so hard that you spit out your drink, eating more sinfully delicious food than you should, hugging laughing little kids and not caring if they smear stuff on your pants.....ahhhhhhhhhh......that's what it's about. That's how we've been celebrating and it's been like a breath of fresh air.
And tonight I got to go out to eat with my best friend. We've been best friends since the first grade and while I still yak her ear off on the phone most weeks, we just don't get together as much as we would like. But tonight we got to dress up and head downtown to one of our favorite resturants. It was an outstanding night.
And because of this night I feel obligated to share with you a bit of Melissa's Worldly Wisdom:(go get a pen) " Never underestimate the merits of dining out." There are very few things in life that cannot be made better by it. You heard it here first.....no thanks necessary. I live to serve.
Headed home tomorrow and feeling refreshed and ready to tackle bringing in the New Year.

I recall those words of wisdom while we were in college and you had a spanking new Amex card. I believe your dad said the same thing to you...not to go crazy on clothes, etc, but definitely splurge on a good meal!!! Wise words indeed!
