What are you going to do this week?

We are going to take a mighty stab at the kids school work all week, but I think that mostly we will be baking and assembling our gingerbread houses! The gingerbread house is a tradition that I started for us when Austin was just a baby. We do one every year and we *try* to be creative. The kids usually help me come up with the theme and sometimes it works out and sometimes it looks more like a blind man was walking through the kitchen and RAN INTO the gingerbread house as it was being made. But it's always fun. I'll get out the pictures later and post some of the ones that we've done in the past.(Lower your expectations now please)

We thought that this year we would try to do a gingerbread village, with each of us making a small house of a little different shape and size and then combining them to look like a little village. I think it's a good idea, but we'll see how it turns out.That means cutting out pieces for 4 houses. Gah! ANyway, that will be our little project for the week, along with wrapping gifts and grabbing last minute items. The boys also have martial arts this week, so I'll have to drag my sorry carcass to that as well.
