What works for me:
Working out 3-4 times a week.
Ideally, 3 days of weights
2 days of treadmill and abs.
This year I learned that staying fit is not a complicated set of instructions. And I learned that setting aside 30-45 minutes a day isn't all that hard and that the pay-offs FOR ME and everyone around me are huge. Even if I don't stick to a set routine, just doing SOMETHING is so much better than skipping it altogether.
I don't count calories.
Lean protein...and lots of it.
Fresh, colorful veggies and
stuff like oatmeal and brown rice.
I still don't drink as much water as I should. But I don't drink ANY sodas, or sugary drinks. I have to remind myself to drink throughout the day because I'm just not usually that thirsty.
For supplements here's what I have figured out works the best for me:
1 multivitamin
1 acidophilous
3000 mg of fish oil
liquid B-complex
2 Dong Quai
1/8 tsp of progesterone cream once a day
Protein powder shakes after lifting.
Refined sugar and salt are my enemies.
I still have a cup of coffee in the morning and a glass of red wine most nights.
These are the physical things that keep me balanced. It keeps away the mood swings, helps me sleep, and keeps me fit and happy.I am less irritable and more patient.
I save my food splurges for special times with my family and I find that I am able to enjoy those foods so much more than I ever did before.
Now mentally and spiritually there is a much bigger list, but I really wanted to get this down, so that I could look back on it. I am sure that this list will change over the years and I am pretty proud of myself for finding what works for me this year. And now...you know what it is too!
Oh yes I did post that picture!

Well, if I had your figure I'd post the picture too! Good for you for sticking to such a regular plan of exercise and healthy eating! If I had made a resolution for 2008 (which I didn't), it would have been to remember to do my back strengthening exercises regularly -- I am too young (at 42) to be walking around like a stiff old lady! Thanks for the inspiration!
