I AM MISSING RACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There. O.K. I feel better.
My head is still swimming from the past week. Race and I had so much going on. We were together the whole time, but we were so busy enjoying the kids activities, preparing for his upcoming trips, and handling a bunch of security clearance documentation junk, that we looked up- and it was time for him to leave. Seriously, it's all just a blur.
What did we do yesterday? Well, after race left, we watched cartoons and played with Lego's. Seriously. ALL of us. In the middle of the living room. For most of the afternoon. (Keep it to yourself, o.k.)
I did finally get to call Dy, and it is always great to talk to her. She has a LOT going on right now, and it is always encouraging to me to see how well she handles it and just keeps going. This is particularly nice on a day like yesterday, when I am REALLY prone to feeling sorry for myself! So, thanks, Dy.
Isn't it great how God loves us so much, that he provides the encouragement that we need at just the right time? I talked to Dy, got an email from a friend whom I love, that I don't get to talk with much(Kim), I got a call from Janelle, and my Mom gave me a nice compliment on the phone last night. All in one day. All on a day that I really needed it.
We went to Martial Arts yesterday afternoon, and the boys are doing so well. And Austin's demo is really looking sharp. He loves that stuff.
One more thing. Herriott, Savannah's cat, got a hairball yesterday. I know, I know, you're thinking, "big deal. so what". But you can not posssibly understand the extreme duress that Savannah was under during this trial. Hands were rung, tears were shed. And in the end.....when we knew it was all O.K. --just a hairball........A song was composed...in Herriotts honor.
Oh, Help.
have a great day!

It is amazing how God can send people to lift you up when you need it most.
I can't wait to see Ausitn's demo.
I hope the final game goes well for him today.
And I really must hear the "Hairball song". That's just classic Savannah!:0)
Awww. Poor Herriott. Is he names after the veterinarian? I'm glad he's ok.
SO glad you had an uplifting day. You really needed one, hon. Don't worry about having the occasional pity party - we'll gather, bring wine, cheese, and get it out. Then start in with the humor and the bright side... I think this ends with a Monty Python song. It's all good, and God's the one in charge (which is why we won't crash onto the rocks when we sit on the poop deck and lament the depth of the sea, ya know?) You've got a lot going on, and it's nice to get a reprieve.
Dy
