I started this blog to keep the husband/father of this happy home up to speed with what goes on here while he is off making the world a safer place. We will refer to him as "Race" (You know..Race Bannon... from Johnny Quest?). We are Christian in our religion, and conservative, in our politics. We home school our guinea pigs,-er- I mean , our kids. Our life is not "the norm", but, with Divine Grace, we're makin' it work, and usually having a good time in the process!

Petrushka
A thousand "thank-you's" to my most excellent photographer, Thomasina, for the pictures below! The ballet was so much fun, and it brought back so many memories! The production , storyline, and choreography were excellent ! The girls were so confident, and really had great stage presence. They had a blast! The boys totally enjoyed themselves and were enthralled with the story. After the production, they did a sort of "meet and greet" on the stage with the performers. Jack rushed onto the stage with Savannah's roses and asked her for her autograph on his program. He collected many other signatures after hers, as well. too funny. Savannah is already missing dance class, and might take a week of summer intensives. She is also taking a unique watercolor painting class through the Fine Arts Academy. They will be introduced to famous watercolor artists at Randolph Macon Womens College's Maier Museum, before going back to the Fine Arts Academy to be guided in their own watercolor paintings. She is also going to be taking a Theatrworks class for one week as well. In this class they will use story-building methods to explore voice, speech and dramatic expression. Savannah is VERY excited about all of these! In the fall we plan to continue with dance as well as Theatreworks. Ahhhhhhhh.........The Arts! I do believe that she has found her thing.

Oh, I don't know what part got to me more, seeing Savannah in her dance costume, all decked out and looking so professional - or picturing Jackson bolting up onstage like that. How wonderful!!

Yes, Savannah did a smashing job!
She looked SO cute in her costume.
I'm so excited about her Arts classes! She really has found her niche, there! :0)
