Happy Birthday Emily!

We made it to the new church, Sunday(PCA). I can't judge it very fairly, because the pastor was out of town, and there was a guest speaker. But I must say, that it was a pleasure to fellowship with people who were "like-minded". It's been awhile. But that is the subject of a post that I don't have the time to write this morning! Seriously, these people were very welcoming. We will be visiting another Presbyterian church this Sunday, as long as it doesn't interfere with Race's schedule. He will be getting home that day, but I don't know when yet. We don't want to miss one single second of time that he will be home. But I am very anxious to visit this particular church, as it it's ties are quite close with classical education. Anybdy know anything about CRE Pres. churches?

Mom and Dad brought Savannah home yesterday. They were nice enough to drive her all the way back to our house, which saved me the trip. She had a wonderful time, and she talked and I listened, for a long time yesterday evening. It is SO good to have her back at home. I think that she missed us, too.

Our big baseball news from the weekend, is that the coach let Austin pitch. The first two innings were three up, three down. He did great. This was a huge confidence booster for him. He has worked tirelessly on pitching, but none of the coaches would let him even try. Not even in practice. They weren't interested in seeing him pitch. They wouldn't give him the chance. Well, the stakes are high in the all-stars. This coach gave him a shot, and it ended with the coach telling him to be ready, he will probably use him. Now, in my son's mind, he may as well have just signed a major league contract with the Boston Red Sox. We're happy for him. Hard work will get you everywhere.

Today is Em's birthday. I am guessing that after all of her hard work for the Toddapalooza over the weekend, she is probably feeling every bit her age! Hope not, and hope that she has a great day today.

Gotta get moving,
Melissa
