It was a blah day today. I just don't seem to be able to focus myself on anything for any length of time. It's as if I am trapped inside the body of an overweight dachsund.............with worms.
I am in hyper-active over drive and running in circles (thus the "worms" part....get it?).
The boys played together all day today. They were in the pool playing" Fat Albert". That's a game that they made up..........and, no, I DON"T want to know how you play it, or what exactly it's about. All I know is that they were howling with laughter while swimming. When they came inside, they picked up what is probably the longest running Monopoly game EVER. It's been going on for at least a week now. And it's Star Wars Monopoly!
Austin had practice tonight, and it was a rough one. Not necessarily for him, but a lot of the players just didn't have their heads in the game tonight, and they made a lot of errors. So the coach was none too pleased. Tomorrow we are going to meet one of Austin's team mates and his mom, (the one that was mad at me....remember? Well, I guess she's not mad anymore...(rolling eyes)), at the batting cages. We are going to try to go early so that the boys will have plenty of time to rest before practice at 5:00. We didn't get home tonight until 9:30! And we only live 5 minutes from the field.
My computer has been trying to choke and die with the Trojan virus. I spent a good part of the day performing surgery on it and nursing it back to life. So far, it's vital signs are good, but what a time consuming endeavor!!!! I don't think that brain surgery on a human takes as many hours! If anyone has any advice about computer safety issues, I'd appreciate it.
There's a ton of stuff that need fixin' around here, and it's all stuff that I will probably just make worse if I try to fix it! So frustrating. I need to hire a handy-man. Wouldn't it be nice to build a little guest house, and have a handy man at your diposal. You know, a nice, older gentleman....preferably British.....not some scary creepazoid loser whom no one else would hire. Are you picturing this? Yes, this would help me. And I have already shared with you about my dream of having a little mexican woman live with us to do the house work and bake the occasional mexican treat. Do I ask too much??? (sigh)
We are missing Savannah. The boys miss her, (though they would NEVER mention it), and Herriott misses her. She is having a good time at my Mom's though, and I can't wait to hear all about it.
We are going to try the new church this Sunday. I will leave you tonight with the words written on the front of their program:
"To all who are spiritually weary and seek rest; to all who mourn and long for comfort;to all who struggle and desire victory;to all who sin and need a savior;to all who are strangers and want fellowship;to all who hunger and thirst after righteousness;and to whomsoever will come, this church opens wide her doors and offers welcome in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ."
God Bless,
Melissa

An overweight dachsund with worms !! Now that's a hard feeling to imagine! Hope today's a lot better for you. Maybe you're just missing too many people. I'm sure your maid and handy man are somewhere in your future. Until then, YOU JUST GOTTA' HANG IN THERE! I think Savannah is having a very good time. We went up to the Danhire's yesterday to swim and play. She and Alex and Madalyn had a great time playing. Will probably go again today. Hope Austin and Jackson have a good time at the batting cage this morning. Hope Austin has a great practice this evening. You can tell us about the new church when we see you on Sunday. Guess Thomasina is flying high about right now. Love, Mom
