I feel like I am talking to myself here.
Race will be home in a few days, and we can hardly wait! I am trying to get all of the cleaning and outside work done, so that we don't have to be concerned with any of that while he is home. Oh....and the suburban needs cleaning out, too.......badly. But when you use your car as a snack bar,gym locker, art studio, and entertainment center....well....hey, she takes a beating!
Problem solved about the game situation! Apparently the coach had the game date wrong...so..cancelled! I can not tell you how relieved that I am!
I watched the last hour of Austin's practice last night. I was sitting on the bleachers with the other moms. If I were to write in this space, the sort of conversations that I am party to whilst sitting on those bleachers, you would all be banging your heads on your computers begging me to stop. I mean it. One topic, led to me yell , " Oh STOP! STOP! TMI! TMI!" Which was met with howls of laughter. I was serious. I honestly do not know how to deal with this sort of thing. I mean, I want to be friendly....but sheesh!
I haven't shared this here, yet, but I have been in contact with the headmaster of Pactum Boys Academy, here close to us. I am encouraged. Race and I will be trying to coordinate a meeting while he is home. Pactum is a day school that uses the Omnibus curriculum for it's older students. This is what we were considering for home school next year as well. Currently the school is in it's third year, and only meets in the classroom on Mon., Wed., and Fri. . Of course, no decision has been made yet, but I am very excited to check out the school, which happens to be at the CREC church that we will be visiting this Sunday. I am really praying about this decision. It's a big one.
Well, I'd better get going. With everything else, I also have 5 patches to sew on the boys' various uniforms. So- I MUST get going. If y'all are reading this...PLEASE comment. Even if only to say...."Snap out of it, Melissa..this is the most boring blog I've ever read". I can take it people, just comment.
Cheers,
melissa

Hey, you're not alone! I love the blogs and knowing that I'm not the only one who feels the same way. Not so much hearing conversations with TMI, but dealing with conversations I don't get. Two friends came over one day. One of their kids had a new haircut.
"What guard did you use?"
"#6"
"Really, why did you try that?"
Blah blah blah.
20 minutes later they were still talking about hair guards and hair cuts for toddlers. That's probably why I don't blog. I don't have nearly as much going on as you do. You make things sound so fun! Don't give up.
OK. I'm commenting. I sent you an email the other night rather than waiting for my reeeeeeeely slow connection to load the comments page. I will be glad to get settled and have high speed internet mainlined into the house. It's going to go right next to my coffee IV line. I should be fine through next spring that way.

Melissa, I hope your sunday goes well. New churches can be intimidating. I hope it goes very, very well.
Potential new school? Potential new church? Wow. That'll teach me to leave the country for a few days LOL!
Good luck with the church/school investigations!
