Well, we had a good day today! Our lessons went really well, and we are learning about such exciting times in history and it's meshing with science and lights are going on and eyes are opening..(excited squeal!) I just LOVE it when that happens!!......IT'S WOORRRKKKING!!!!!!!
Everything is going pretty well.
I would like to take a moment to go ahead and express my concern IN PRINT about the youngest offspring. Armpit pictures aside, his frat-boy like behavior is getting to be a little much. It all started innocently enough 2 yrs ago when he began working tirelessly to develop the party trick-to-end-all-party-tricks. He sits on the floor with a hand cupped behind each knee, and then pumps his legs up and down making "toot noises" with BOTH knees. Ahhhhh..yes, my friends, it is something to behold. And it DOES indeed place him over the top in the 8-10 yr old crowd. But now, with the burping of the ABC's...... and tomorrow, I have been informed that there will be a "Toot-Fest" held. Here. In the house. Where we live. Apparently a score will be kept, and the contestants are Jack, Austin, and the dog. Jack is certain that he will be the victor. I hope that he doesn't hurt himself.
And if this bit of information doesn't scare you.....let me just add this: His reading skills are weak. (Big Sigh)

May this child never take a liking to strong drink.

G'night!
Melissa

It's scary... I have the feeling that I'm staring directly 6 years into the future! But ya got to admit, it's been a fun ride :-). I know of two boys that would be highly upset to know they missed the "Toot-Fest."

ROFL he sounds SO much like my 8yo Melissa. They'd have such a blast together (literally) between football/baseball and farts. rofl

I have no advice but it helps to know you're not alone - doesn't it? LOL

HOpe you're having an OK Valentines Day. I've been thinking of you today - if you have instant messenger I'm blessedmom2k on AIM and jessandgeorge (I think) on MSN.

I can't wait to hear how the fest went!!! Keep blogging...those of us with younger boys need to learn from your experience.

BWAHAHA!! I told Q about the toot fest and he is quite interested. And his money is on Jack.

I think Walker will be able to give Jack a run for his money in the not-too-distant future.

I would also like to take this time to say we would like to keep Jack and Walker seperated as much as possible. If Jack had any inkling of what he could get his little 2YO cousin to do...OH MY!!!

Just kidding of course! Can't wait to see you all this weekend!!

HA! This is why I am glad we kept having children, so Zorak would quit making references to the Belushi brothers when he introduced the eldest two! That wasn't a pattern I wanted to set, ya know?

I read this morning that the Toot Fest was cancelled... not just postponed? :-( I'm sure you're heartbroken. *chuckle*
