A morning of lessons and painting and walks in the woods. After lessons, Austin had to work on some Boy Scout requirements that he needed help with while Savannah and Jack helped clean up the kitchen. We got our things together and headed out the door. We picked up 2 of the boys' friends from their school and got everyone to their Martial Arts classes.

Savannah and I headed over to Barnes and Noble. We sat and read our new books while sipping our favorite coffee-like beverages. After we had read and caffeinated ourselves to our hearts content we went to watch the guys at their class. She really would rather do just about anything than to sit in Martial Arts and watch the boys' lessons, but I don't hold it against her, because they act as though they are being put to death, when they have to watch her at dance class. It evens out. Thomasina came by and watched the guys do their thing for a bit. They LOVE to have an audience! The jiu jitsu stuff just blows my mind. You are NOT gonna wanna mess with these boys. Seriously.
Austin and I watched the Presidents State of the Union Address. I could not be more proud of the President of my country. Thank-you, Mr.President for understanding what it means to protect our freedom. Thank-you also, for inspiring my child.

Well, baseball season is almost upon us. We found out today that Austin will get to play for Dixie Boys Baseball as well as for the varsity team at New Covenant Schools (Griffons). He is immensely excited about these opportunities. And as for y'all, you know what that means. It means that my blog will be saturated with baseball pictures, because Jack will be playing too.

The long days and nights are getting to me. I need to get myself on a better schedule, start working out, and taking my vitamins more regularly. Hmmm.. Probably should get on that.

G’night,
Melissa

TWO baseball schedules? Lady, we are going to HAVE to get you a coffee machine for the Suburban. That's all there is to it. Shall we all chip in and get you one for your birthday? ;-)

Congrats to A for making the teams!

And coffee and books at BN sounds delicious. Enjoy a chapter for me!

Good luck with the 2 baseball schedules, this will be our 4th year of doing that. Get a good daytimer and write everything down. It is so much fun though, I have always enjoyed it. A friend of mine has 13 kids, college down to newborn, and they have all played sports. Try keeping up with that schedule. I don't think I would have any hair left.
Congratulations to Austin. Can't wait to see the pictures.

The boys looked just GREAT at karate! Yeh, somebody's gonna be sorry if they try to push those fellas around.

I'm glad to hear that Austin watched the S of the U address with you, and "got it". That's awesome.

As always, lemme know if you need any extra chauffering services when the busy baseball season kicks in. I can't wait to see Jack in his little uniform!!

I can't wait for the baseball pictures!! Congratulations to both boys!

Sounds like you are just as busy as ever. Too bad there isn't a copy machine that we could put ourselves through when we need to be in 2 places at almost the same time.
I'm glad you and Savannah have a chance once in a while to just sit down and relax together.
Yes, wasn't President Bush's State of the Union just great? I just love that man!! He's everything a United States President should be. Glad Austin got to hear him too.

And, as for you, young lady--TAKE THOSE VITAMINS REGULARLY!!!

Love, Mom

Hey, trying to get caught up with some of my blog reading. Em told me about Austin making varsity -- I had no doubt :-). Please pass on my congratulations and tell him that Em and I can't wait to see a game this year... and it sounds like we've got another ballplayer to watch as well! I bet Jack is excited! And poor Savannah, she'll have the patience of Job after putting up with so much martial arts and baseball :-).
