Well, to give you an idea of the kind of day that I had, I will relate the following:
Before I could get my second cup of coffee, Jack came into my room with his nose all stopped up and not breathing very well. He came over and hugged me. Then (and again, I remind you this was BEFORE my 2nd cup o'Joe) in his nasally, groggy, just-woke-up voice, he said, "Mom, what makes pee yellow?" Now to a seven year old this is a serious scientific inquiry, and is to be treated as such. Thank-you to whoever came up with that search engine called "Ask Jeeves", because that's who we asked, and Jeeves does deliver! And yes this was followed up by the OTHER question that would naturally follow this one. And yes, Jeeves knows the answer to that one too. So that's how it started today.
Both boys are under the weather with major head colds. Nothing serious, but makes you feel plain lousy. And NO, you don't get out of school work for a head cold. You may do school in bed , in your jammies with the tissues beside you, but you DON'T get out of it.
Since my manual labor crew was down, I was left to shovel us out of the snow myself. I cleaned off the suburban, and shoveled off the deck and a path to the car. That's about it. We'll let the 4-wd take care of the rest. And would you believe we had more flurries today?
Due to sickness, we had to forego our normal art and martial arts lessons for Tuesdays. But we accomplished a lot of other school work. Now, house work? That's another issue all together. I am currently ignoring the enormous mound of clean clothes to be folded that is growing on my bed.
Well, Race called today. Everything is going as it should be. He did mention that his hair is REALLY long now. Isn't that funny?? Race, with long hair? That cracks me up.( nervous laughter).
Well, I have supper to fix. We are having baked chicken, steamed broccoli.....and sumpn'-sumpn'. So I'd better get to it. I'll try to post more tonight after bed time.
Have a great evening,
Melissa

That is so funny about Jack's morning inquiries.
Would you mind forwarding Jeeves' answers? I've always wondered about that myself. I mean no matter WHAT you eat...you know?
LOL!
Pump 'em full of vitamin C!!! WEEE! And for science, have them check the impact of vitamin c on urine! Weee!
Tell me you did get that second cup?
