Really Quick

Jack has decided that he and Scout are headed for the circus. That's right. He and his faithful brown lab are headed for the big tents. Jack believes that his dog is incredibly talented, and after "training" him for .........oh......say.........10 minutes yesterday, he was convinced, "This dog needs to perform". If you could meet this dog, you would KNOW how funny this is. But his mind is made up, and we'll miss 'em.

I thought that I should also say that yesterday was a much better day for our school lessons. Something supernatural must have happened to Austin overnight, because he rediscovered all of his math knowledge. YAY! He is sailing through Latin. he really likes it. We had review yesterday and he had to define and conjugate 15 verbs and decline 20 nouns. No problem. I am wondering how much formal grammar we need on top of Latin. It seems to do the job of teaching grammar in a much more thorough fashion. Everyone is liking Spanish and I think that they are doing quite well. However, as they advance we are going to need to hire someone once a week just to converse with them only in Spanish to help make them fluent. Until you are forced to use the brain to respond in that foriegn language, I don't think that it will be of much use. We'll see how that goes.

Savannah has ballet rehearsals today for the "PETRUSHKA" ballet. That will run for 2 hours, so the boys and I might peruse the antique stores down town today. It is raining and kind of gross out here, so we might even take in a movie later this afternoon, (which is a rare event for us).
I am SO ready for Spring. Also, I worked out this morning. For real. You have NO idea what a big deal that is for me, but I will save my "fat blog" for another time, and I will give you proper warning.

I heard that our Gammy was spotted dining out and having her hair done. This was on the way HOME from the hospital!! Way to go Gammy! That's how I want to be when I am 91!!! A woman with her priorities straight!

Race, we miss you terribly. Stay safe. Resist the conversion attempts......(that's a joke y'all).
Have a wonderful weekend,
Melissa

What an excuse to hire a Mexican maid so she can talk to your children in Spainish! Hope you can convince Race that it is necessary for the good of the children.

I normally don't gp to the circus but I will make an exception when "Jack the Great and his

faithful dog Scout" comes to town!

So Jack wants to take Scout and join the circus. Well I'm sure the two of them would bring down the tent. Literally, bring down the tent!! Race, we miss you too! Hurry home. Mom

Fat? *snort* OK, I am SO not reading that post- warn me ahead of time. ;-)

I'm giggling silly over here, just picturing Jack and his latest plan. We used to work seating at the circus every year- got to see the behind-the-scenes of it, and, well, ew. Tell him to go individual performances on stage- better pay and no rampant fear of INS!

You know (and this is embarrassing) I don't know that we'll need to add grammar if we stick w/ Latin. We're not even into the "grammar" stuff of memoria press' Latin program, and the boys both have a wonderful exposure to grammar. YAY! Thanks for the review of LC, btw- that helped, and it doesn't look so scary now. :-)
