Rambling

Well, last night I was sucked in to the tidal wave of clean laundry to be folded. I tamed the monster. I also watched the Amazing Race last night. (O.K., I don't know if I have said it before, but Race and I could totally mop up in that contest.) So, I watched TV, and folded thousands of articles of clothing. I read a few more chapters in the book "Abraham", which, incidentally, I am NOT enjoying. To say that this author takes great liberties with the text of the Bible, is a gross understatement. But I do hope to come away with a slightly better understanding of Judaism and Islam, and where the "roads" split. Know what I mean?
Well, today I am going to the salon to get my hair cut. One of two things will happen: 1. My next blog will be a long, whining, crying, self pity party because of how wretched my new hair style is, or 2. I will blog as usual, which means that I am indeed happy with my new style, and the world as I know it will continue. I am really hoping for the latter.
I will also be picking up a new dishwasher today.....(ooooooo new hair AND a new dishwasher?? Be still my heart.) My neighbor is going to install it for me, so that means I'd better quit ignoring that whole "under the sink area", because he's probably gonna need to get under there.
I will be accomplishing these errands by myself today, because my sister Thomasina has graciously offered to come over to hang out with the kids, and I am bringing lunch back for everyone. So I will admit that the thought of being by myself for awhile and perhaps.......if I'm lucky.........completing one or two complete thoughts, seems absolutely scandalous!
Y'all have a great day!
Melissa

That same clean clothes tidal wave will be sucking me in this evening.

Sorry "Abraham" bites.
So does "Seven Gothic Tales" by Isak Dinesen. Disappointingly weird and dark, so far. I've gone back to "Heart of Darkness" to cheer myself up--LOL!
