Yes, Race is home! We don't know for how long, but we are so glad that he is back! He has so many interesting stories to share, about a completely different part of the Middle East. This was a very different trip/job than he has done before, and offers fresh perspective on the view from that part of the world. I wish that I could tell specifics, here, but he won't let me. I did manage to wrestle from him that his interpreter in one country was a 20-something, respectfully out spoken, Palestinian BEAUTY! The family got together at Mom and Dads last night (minus Thomasina, who was missed). I was putting the pressure on Race to tell Em and T all about his beautiful Palestinian interpreter. His response? In rare sarcastic form, "Ohhh....no, babe." "That one's mine." Speaking of course of his cherished memory. He is a nut. And those of you who know him, know it's true!
I met him at the airport, and he had roses. He brought me a beautiful necklace from that part of the world. We got a chance to catch up, before we had to head back to mom and dad's to see the kids. It was all good. We are so happy to have him back!
Cheers!
Melissa
